Give your students an exciting way to show what they know with this bulletin board display of historical and iconic figures of the past and present!
This 86-page packet contains 20 iconic figures with even more suggestions for putting together an extra credit bulletin board or reviews board for historical teaching and discussion.
This packet includes the following:
Iconic Cartoon Figures to Display: Alexander Graham Bell, Beyonce, Nicholaus Copernicus, Winston Churchill, Leonardo DaVinci, Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Einstein, Henry Ford, Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Steve Jobs, Michael Jordan, Abraham Lincoln, Nelson Mandela, Florence Nightingale, Sally Ride, J.K. Rowling, Andy Warhol, George Washington, and Serena Williams.
Bulletin Board Letters: I cut mine out, glued it on card stock, then laminated and cut it out to hang. I’ve also included the words “day” and “week.”
Bulletin Board Labels: There are 12 to choose from (historian, scientist, mathematician, author, musician, artist, engineer, athlete, actor/actress, entrepreneur, world changer, and statistician). Instructions are included for posting the ICON labels, too.
Worksheets and Rubrics: These are for students to complete about their ICON (or they can use something else you would have in mind). Worksheets have a blank center or lines for writing. Rubrics for each letter are included, too.
Digital Links and Editable Files: Need to complete digitally or online? Templates and links are included to jump-start the process. I have also included some generic Google Forms and Google Classroom headers to upload if you need to post your icon assignments online.
