Planet research projects can be so exciting!! Are your students looking for a way to research their favorite planet or dwarf planet and present the information with facts about their planet back to their classmates in a way that gives them creative freedom? This project has everything you need and more to help your students provide the best information about any planet they choose!
This packet includes the following:
Research Packet: 2 cover page choices, table of contents, four pages for recording notes, sketch a planet, works cited, words to know, page to write planet report, a few editable pages if you would like to add to your report, and instructions for how to use in Google Classroom.
Display Presentation, Written Paper Outline, and More: There is an outline within to give students two options for how they would like to present their planet presentation, a pop-up book (with a materials list and directions) or a PowerPoint slideshow presentation (with template slides). There is also a description of what is expected in the written paper. Students should write an informative essay (or a different paper of the teacher's choosing). Additionally, there is an example of how the works cited should be reported.
Rubrics: There are four different rubrics: one rubric to grade the presentation, one rubric for the overall project, and two different choices to grade the written paper.
There is also a digital link included for making a copy and saving in Google Drive and using it in Google Classroom (perfect for students who may be absent or having students write digitally).
