Summer is upon us, and so is the need for more hands-on summer activities to keep us busy . . . especially when the heat comes knocking. Our latest adventure was creating a beach scene using bubbles and paint. My daughter was excited to help and really made the most of the activity!
We first gathered all our materials (Amazon affiliate link included), including the templates needed to print.
We created in the following order (though I’m sure you could create however easiest):
- Print templates on thick card stock.
- Create the bubbles using this recipe. Yes, you can use a bottle of bubbles, but we did not have any.
- Mix a spoonful of bubble mixture with your chosen paint color.
- Take a straw, holding your finger over one end, and allow a little into it. Put it on the paper and blow. This creates a bubble burst. If you have bubble wands, you can use them, too.
- Do this as often as you like until the picture looks how you would like.
- Now, hang it on display – or write about the experience!
